This Ram Automation Kit suitable for double (twin) wings gate, up-to 9M (2 x 4.5M wing) and 500KG (2x250 wing). It is best fitted 130mm above driveway level or higher

This Ram Kit based on the Ram (Linear) KingGates Motors. These motors designed to open gate wings from 2.5M to 4.5-Meter long. The maximum wing capacity of the motor is 250Kg.

The Ram Kit System features

• Extra safe thanks to the low-voltage connections 24V, the safety accessories and the automatic obstacle detection feature
• Auto-programming automatically calculates the most suitable operating parameters for your gate
• PWM electronic technology (Pules Width Modulation) controlling the gate travel speed and smoothing the motion.

The motor is powered by 24VDC reliable cycle for any application, and designed to work with standard STAR G8 KingGates control Box.

The Ram (Linear) Motor comprise with a stainless-steel mechanical piston, with long stroke (travel) of 400mm making it widely applicable for many different uses such as: farm gates, villas, houses, units, etc.

This Ram Kit is extensively tested to Allegro Gate Automation highest standards in order to sustain the harsh Australian climate.

An electric lock is recommended for all gates and is considered compulsory for gates with wings exceeding 2 meters long.

Infrared safety devices recommended, and compulsory for automatic gate closing setup (when the gate close by itself after several seconds).

Installation

• This Ram motor can be mounted 120mm or more above the driveway level.
• Check the geometry requirements, and the minimum level motor mounting at installation. book - see installation booklet on the resources- manuals tab on this site.
• Minimum one set of infrared safety required when choosing automatic closing operation. Closing automatically is when a gate closing several seconds after opening by itself).
• Automatic Electric locking recommended for gate of more than 2M long- see the optional items of this KIT.

 What’s not included in the Kit

• Bolts to fit the bracket on gate and post/wall not included.
• Flexible Cable 2x1.5MM from control Box to the Motor.

    For the following optional items, you will need additional cables:

• For safety sensors: minimum 4 wires; “security cable” recommended.
• For Electric Lock: 2x0.75mm flexible wires, recommended double shield cable no more than 6mm external diameter. The cable length depend  on the gate length and the control box location.
• you can choose the “Flexible Cable Protector” for the lock cabling.

  From the optional items, you can choose:

• Infrared safety sensor(s) recommended for better safety.

Minimum one set required when choosing automatic closing setup mode (oppose to open/stop/close mode).

• Digital wireless keypad with 3 different codes, or wired Keypad Elite with 500 codes.
• Automatic electric Lock for better security, and its flexible cable protector.
• External Antenna for better reception range.
• Garage door controller to open a garage door with the gate’s remote-control unit.

• This Kit comes with 3 years warranty on the motor and main control Unit.
• The warranty applied automatically, no need for registration.
